Frequently Asked Questions
These are just a few of the companies whose home agents we provide communications equipment for. Many companies require a specific set-up for their agents and we have everything you need right here. Choose the headset and/or dial pad that suits your needs.
Which headset should I choose?
A headset is a personal choice. Do you want 1 ear covered or both? Whichever you choose the microphone can be adjust to work from either the right or left side.
Which dial pad should I choose?
Both the 3003(DA202) and 3004(DA207) have the same function but the 3004 adds a splash of color and can accept 2 headsets for training. It also features computer key board style buttons. Both units feature volume and mute control and can plug in to a modem with a phone jack.
How do I set up the dial pad?
Simply plug the supplied 5 foot line cord into the phone outlet and headset into the dial pad and youre set to go. If you have a longer cord and wish to use that, simply unplug the line cord that came with the unit and plug your cord into the same port.
What is the USB adapter cord and why would I need it?
The USB cord plugs into the computers USB port and then you plug your headset into the other end of the adapter cord. The need for this application is for when youre involved in training classes online. You would be able to hear and speak during these classes if you need to. Not all work at home companies require this cord. You should ask if this cord is needed if your classes are online. The USB cord cannot be used with either the 2003B or 2003M.
Why do I need the dial pad?
The dial pad IS a phone and can replace or be used with any existing corded office desk phone you might be using now. Using a headset with a dial pad for your work is comfortable, convenient and you only need to push a button to take or end a call.
Why shouldn't I use a wireless phone?
A wireless phone uses battery power and the phone base uses a power supply that is powered with electricity. If you lose power your call WILL be lost. Our dial pads do not require any electrical power at all. Providing that youre using a regular local phone service provider and not an internet company you will NOT lose your call. If youre using an internet provider for and their voice service goes down you will lose your call.
